As seen in the above scanned image from a D&M 1905 Catalog, this model 25 bat, named the D&M Special, had a knob arrangement that allowed for a perfectly balanced bat.
The bat features a strong early D&M dog logo, with the model number 25 below the trademark.

An additional stamping, just to the left of the center brand, reads "Weather Seasoned/Hand Bone Rubbed." Heavy use is displayed throughout, including deadwood on the front and back of the barrel, chips to the barrel end and knob, and a handle crack repaired with a vintage nail. Heavy use is displayed throughout, including an extremely flattened hitting surface on the back of the barrel, checking, a wrap of vintage black tape on the handle, and rack marks.
